Cheating/Plagiarism: Cheating and/or plagiarism will not be tolerated in my classrooms. Any form that is turned in or caught during the course, will be discussed with the student(s) and parents. This includes using peer's code, copying/pasting code into work, not citing work properly, etc. Written work such as essays will be scanned using Grammarly to authenticate work at least 80% original. In accordance with school policy, "Students cheating on a test, project, or assignment will receive a zero ("0") on that assignment and the teacher will make a parent contact."
Extra Credit: Extra credit may be offered throughout a course, however it is an exception and generally not the rule. Extra credit gives students the opportunity to improve/master skills - and therefore given during work weeks not directly after a test/quiz. My philosophy is that the purpose of extra credit is not to improve ones grade but to improve/demonstrate ones skill and comprehension. No extra credit will be offered after the final exam. So please do not ask. |
